Questions
Restaurant AI Toolkit FAQ
What is the Restaurant AI Toolkit?
The Restaurant AI Toolkit is a set of six free AI tools for independent restaurant owners, built by Josh Kopel and the Restaurant Scaling System. Each tool handles one recurring job: answering guest reviews, planning a month of social media content, turning phone photos into professional food imagery, tracking food and beverage trends, and running AI assistants for review replies, no-show win-backs, catering inquiries and P&L review.
Are the tools free?
Yes. Every tool in the toolkit is free. You run them inside ChatGPT or Claude, and a few features need a paid plan there: the Studio Shot uses ChatGPT image generation, and the monthly trend reports and the Review Robot daily sweep run as scheduled tasks on a paid Claude plan. Each tool page lists exactly what you need.
Do I need technical skills to use them?
No. There is nothing to install and no code to write. Each tool page walks you through setup step by step, and the tools that write to guests draft first and wait for your approval before anything is sent or posted.
Which tool should I start with?
Start with the job that takes up the most of your week. If reviews are piling up, start with the Review Robot. If social media keeps slipping, start with the 30-Day Content Engine. If you want help with several recurring tasks at once, start with the AI Ladder Starter Kit.
Who built the Restaurant AI Toolkit?
Josh Kopel, a Michelin-awarded restaurateur, former President of the California Restaurant Association, host of the FULL COMP podcast, and founder of the Restaurant Scaling System, a coaching program for restaurant owners.
